Having left Mark at the Yellow Nest I headed north (first time on this journey I think) for the Costa Brava and Lloret de Mar. Very bike friendly hotel. The 50 miles were uneventful apart from discovering that Callipo's fit nicely under the heart monitor and really help you cool down (33 degrees). Left Lloret and headed back towards the Pyrenees on and the Garrotxa volcano park. Again a hot beautiful day to enjoy the views. The route took me through Angles to Olot right in the heart of the park, a lovely little town. I'm planning to use more of the Via Verde tomorrow as I travel to Berga.
Mark Sewell and Chris Ambler cycled from Brighton to Barcelona between August 22nd and September 11th 2011. Chris is continuing across Northern Spain and will meet up with Luis Aguiar on September 28th, and then Mark again in Galicia before entering Portugal. Please donate to baby Tiago here: http://www.yavannaportugal.com/tiago.htm. 100% of donations go towards Tiago's medical costs.
