Meeting Tiago

I had a phone call yesterday - Tiago's parents were visiting from Lisbon and wanted to meet up, so a lovely surprise. We met at Mike's place near us, and you can see Tiago in the photo below.  He is a lovely little boy. He didn't appear to be in any pain, which I was pleased about.

It turns out that 78,000 Euros has been raised so far nationally, and they have a rough target of 200,000 Euros in total. There has been quite a bit of exposure on TV and in newspapers in Portugal.

His mother flies with him to Boston next week for the first set of tests, which will determine the course of treatment and hence the likely medical costs involved.
